"The client's company has a complex business model (B2G2C), which includes a complex chain of interactions with maternity hospitals and perinatal centers.
That's why we were looking for a specialist who would have an idea of working in both segments.
And at the same time, we were looking for someone who wouldn't just do what is said, but also would offered new, optimal solutions to business problems."

Finding suitable COO

We studied the client
We had a joint interview with the company owner and CEO. We helped to formulate the requirements taking into account the tasks. It was necessary to find an operating director, but with a product vision. We made a map of the competencies of a potential candidate, taking into account the specifics of the business and the existing team.
We brought in focus a search area
We studied the client's field of activity and made a competitor search map, which initially included retail companies, functionality and services for mothers with newborns as possible segments for finding a specialist.

The very first interviews showed a special mindset and psycho-type of candidates from these fields (who have worked in the industry since the beginning of 2010-2012). That's why we offered the client to look at specialists from another industry. We also improved the competence map, because it was important that a person could quickly rebuild and understand new specifics.

After improving the search area, we almost immediately found a suitable specialist. The candidate was from an engineering company where was engaged in the technical component, and at the same time understood the GR block at the required level. It was particularly valuable that the candidate was a "universal soldier", who thinks of business goals along with a partner and implements them at the level of operational work.
